FIRST Scandinavia stands behind FLL in Scandinavia. 262 FLL tournaments have been arranged from 2000 to 2010. 10 Scandinavian finals took place additionally with 70 160 children taking part.

FLL is an instructive interdisciplinary project with children and youths from 10 to 16 as target groups. The project period lasts eight weeks and ends with an exciting technology tournament.

Each year there is a new community relevant topic, which consists of theoretical and technical challenges. Creativity, teamwork, design, stableness, team spirit, enthusiasm, leadership willingness, gaming and learning are central elements within FLL. 39 tournaments took place in 2010 at the same time in Norway, Faroe Islands, Denmark and Sweden.
