The Newton concept has been developed within several years from FIRST Scandinavia in collaboration with Human Resources from schools and businesses. The concept is additionally based on experiences from several years of development and operating of FIRST LEGO League in Scandinavia.
The greater aim with Newton is to contribute to a higher expertise within natural sciences and technology within the today´s youth. Through building some local initiatives and building networks will we contribute to create some new education locations for natural sciences and technology. Newton rooms are a common resource centre for schools in the region both concerned as teacher resources and gear.

The local initiative shall be hold by school-shareholders and the Newton room education proposals shall be professionally quality insured, predictable for schools and integrated into education concepts.

Impact and application of natural sciences will be made clear and relevant through stretching and activating education, which are anchored in the curriculum.

Good natural scientific curricula shall be concentrated within the Newton concept and then gradually be made accessible as they are developed in the whole country.
A Newton module is a multidisciplinary education concept with weight on natural sciences, technology and design where some preliminary work, visits in the Newton rooms and rework is assumed. Those modules can be mobile as well.

Within the Newton concept there is also a course proposal and a leisure time facility.
